Living in America, Bún Thịt Nướng Chả Giò dish is my go to dish when I want something light, healthy, and delicious. It’s light and healthy because below the noodles lay a bed of crisp and fresh shredded lettuce, bean sprouts, and herbs. It’s delicious because there’s a crunchy deep-fried egg roll and slices of smoky, charcoal grilled pork. It’s topped with toasted peanuts, pickled carrots and daikon, and green scallions cooked in pork fat. A swig or a bowl-full of sweet and tangy fish sauce pulls this whole dish together.
Now it’s only healthy if I stop right here, but often time, I’ll order extra egg rolls to munch on… Don’t judge me, egg rolls are one of my vices. Egg rolls are usually wrapped with an egg-based skin, but here they use rice paper, therefore as a result, they are crunchier and flakier. I’ve actually tried many places for this dish. The other places are good and offer more meat at half the price, however, this restaurant offers the overall great location and taste in both pork and egg rolls.
